Hi, I'm Sarah Thompson
I started Town Square because I was tired of missing what was happening in my own backyard. Between the town Facebook groups full of drama, the council meeting agendas buried on page 47 of the city website, and flyers stapled to telephone poles, it felt impossible to actually know what was going on in Russellville.
So in 2022, I decided to do something about it. I spent a week gathering every event, deal, and piece of local news I could find, typed it up in a simple email, and sent it to 23 friends. By the next week, those 23 had forwarded it to 150 people. Today, over 2,000 neighbors trust Town Square to keep them in the loop.
This isn't a tech startup. It's not venture-backed. It's just me (and now a small team of local writers) trying to make our town feel a little more connected. Because when you know what's happening around you, you show up. And when you show up, community happens.
